Penzance, UK and Stavanger, Norway – 22nd December 2021 – Subsea Networks Ltd and NO-UK Com are pleased to announce that the new NO-UK submarine cable system linking Newcastle and Stavanger is now ready for service, on time and in budget..

Despite all of the challenges in building a submarine network across the North Sea, as well as the additional constraints imposed over the past two years, this new system has been successfully designed, manufactured and installed in less than 22 months. The system was designed by turnkey supplier Xtera, using their new generation repeater, and has significantly exceeded expectations and design capacity targets.

It has taken a significant amount of hard work by a lot of people to reach this milestone on time.
